Book 04: العقيدة الحائية

This fourth book in the Zuhra Educational Foundation’s Islamic Theology series features العقيدة الحائية, a celebrated poem by Ibn Abī Dāwūd, son of the famous hadith scholar Abū Dāwūd. The poem is a concise summary of Sunni beliefs, composed in rhyming verse ending in the Arabic letter “Ḥā” (ح) — hence the name Ḥā’iyyah.

Core Themes:

  • Affirmation of orthodox creed in line with Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamāʿah
  • Rejection of theological innovations and deviant sects
  • Encouragement of adherence to the Qur’an and Sunnah
  • Promotion of love and respect for the Companions and righteous predecessors

This poetic work is ideal for memorization and reflection, offering students a rhythmic and accessible way to internalize key theological principles.
